I hope they were in time for the eggs Benedict. They are usually very nice, but I often arrive at a cafe to be told “we stopped serving breakfast at 10.30”.
As if a clock somehow renders the chef incapable of following certain recipes. That always irritates me. After all, “time is an estimate”.
